Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is facing a touchline ban after accepting a Football Association (FA) charge following his Merseyside derby red card.
The club and Slot’s assistant Sipke Hulshoff also accepted separate charges prior to Wednesday’s deadline.
An independent regulatory commission will now be set up to decide on suitable punishments.

After the Premier League fixture with Everton on February 12 finished in a 2-2 draw, Slot and Hulshoff received red cards for their complaints to referee Michael Oliver.
The FA charged Slot and Hulshoff two days later for having “acted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour” towards match officials.
Everton and Liverpool were both charged by the FA for allegedly failing “to ensure their players and/or technical area occupants did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way following the final whistle.”
The Liverpool head coach has remained on the touchline for his side’s last two Premier League fixtures, overseeing the 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers and a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.
Slot has already served a one-game touchline ban this season after accumulating three yellow cards, watching his side’s 2-1 win over Southampton in the Carabao Cup in December from the stands. FA guidelines state that recent disciplinary actions can be taken into account when deciding punishment, meaning that Slot’s previous ban could count against him.
Since replacing Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool head coach in the summer, Slot has guided his team to 18 wins in 26 Premier League matches, losing just once.
Liverpool are top of the Premier League with a eight-point lead over second-place Arsenal and are through to the Carabao Cup final after beating Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 on aggregate.
The Merseyside derby, the final one to be staged at Goodison Park, ended in dramatic fashion, with Everton captain James Tarkowski scoring an equaliser in the eighth minute of additional time that was eventually confirmed after a lengthy VAR review.
Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure ran over to celebrate in front of the Liverpool fans after full-time, which drew an angry reaction from Liverpool’s Curtis Jones, who confronted Dourcoure.
This sparked an altercation with several players on both sides involved, with Doucoure and Jones both being sent off after second yellow cards.
