Liverpool fans call for Dean Huijsen signing

The player in question is Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen, who has been linked with Liverpool for a number of months.

TBR Football understand Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa all made contact to sign Huijsen before his move to the Cherries in June.

More recently, Huijsen’s camp has made contact with Liverpool and a number of other clubs about a potential summer move.

The Spain Under-21 international is set to be available for a fee in the region of £49-55million in the summer as a release clause becomes active.

Huijsen impressed on Saturday as Bournemouth overcame Wolverhampton Wanderers on penalties to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals.

This prompted Liverpool fans to call for his signing, with one writing on X: “Deal should already be done, no messing about just trigger it!”

Another fan said: “Dean Huijsen would be a fantastic addition.

“Virgil won’t be with us forever unfortunately so long term view always important.”

Kinda crazy watching Bournemouth – Wolves and there’s at least 3 players that I would want us to sign. Huijsen, Cunha, Kerkez and even Semenyo is a shout. The smaller clubs are better than ever this year

The calls to sign Huijsen kept coming, with one fan writing: “Should be a deal we have locked in may like we did with Konate.”

Another supporter said: “We do love a release clause… there is no VVD replacement out there but this kid will not be too far off.

“We must do everything to bring him to #LFC especially the link from Hughes.

“I think a lot of clubs will be in for him and like Yoro it’s Vital we sign a young CB.”

I’m totally 200% in on Dean Huijsen this summer. Age, height, ball playing ability. I’m all in.

Add Kerkez or Lewis Hall, and then Joao Pedro that’s a decent summer. Isak far too much , no value there.

Obvs if Trent and Diaz leave that would require more additions.

Another simply wrote: “Huijsen is the one”.
