Liverpool want to sign Hugo Larsson

He is just 20 years old and is one of the youngest and one of the most talented midfielders in the world. Larsson impresses with his dynamic qualities. He dominates as a box-to-box presence, blending stamina with technical finesse. His press resistance shines as he calmly retains possession under pressure, while his long passing accuracy stretches defenses.

Larsson’s versatility allows him to adapt across midfield roles, excelling in ball progression and deep completions. Defensively, he tackles with tenacity and intercepts intelligently, bolstering his team’s spine. Though his goal tally remains modest, his vision and composure hint at untapped attacking potential. With his physicality and skill, Larsson embodies a modern, all-action midfielder poised for stardom. Therefore, he would definitely be a good signing for the Reds, who are in need of an advanced playmaker next season.

Good choice for the Reds?

Looking into his passing aspect of the game, Larsson passes the ball roughly 44.19 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 88.99%. He also plays 0.81 key passes each game. Overall, Larsson’s xA (expected assists) output is 0.35 per 90 minutes. This stat puts him above 84 percent of the players in the DFB Pokal.

Given his age and potential, Frankfurt will not let him leave for cheap. However, the Reds should definitely negotiate with the German club to get him at a better price. However, Arne Slot and his side will get a promising playmaker if they manage to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Chelsea will also be fighting for his services, as they have heavily depended on Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson this season. So, they will need Larsson to strengthen their squad and add more options. It remains to be seen if Liverpool can beat the competition from the Blues.
