Tottenham want to sign Antoine Semenyo

The 25-year-old attacker is an integral part of the attacking output of Bournemouth. He powers through defenses with explosive pace and physical strength, making him a formidable presence. His directness shines as he confidently dribbles past opponents, often using his long strides to create space.

Semenyo excels in ball-carrying, effortlessly progressing play, while his ambidexterity allows versatile finishing—striking cleanly with either foot. He thrives in tight spaces, showcasing sharp awareness to exploit gaps or link with teammates. Additionally, his tireless work rate bolsters both attack and defense, marking him as a unique, all-action talent in the Premier League. All these qualities have made him a perfect target for Tottenham.

Semenyo has scored 7 goals in 26 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Overall, Antoine Semenyo’s goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.27. Moreover, his total G/A (goals + assists) is 11 for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.43 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.38. This puts Semenyo’s npxG output at 9.64.

Should they go ahead with the deal?

Looking into his passing aspect of the game, Semenyo passes the ball roughly 26.99 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 77.15%. He also plays 1.30 key passes each game. Overall, Semenyo’s xA (expected assists) output is 0.18 per 90 minutes.

His Premier League experience makes him a good transfer target for the Spurs. However, I don’t feel like Tottenham will be ready to spend €60 million to sign him. The price tag is too steep, and Spurs will be looking to negotiate and bring it down. However, if Bournemouth becomes a tough nut to crack, then the deal won’t be feasible. It now remains to be seen if Tottenham can go on to sign Semenyo in the summer transfer window.
