The current salary of Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has been revealed, triggering rumors that a potential new deal may already be on the cards after less than 12 months.
Slot is on the verge of securing Liverpool’s second Premier League title in his first season, with the Reds holding a 13-point lead with 10 games left. If they win seven more matches, the title will be sealed. With additional potential silverware in the Champions League and Carabao Cup, it’s shaping up to be a historic season for Slot.
His current three-year deal, signed upon his arrival from Feyenoord, has two years remaining. Given his success, Liverpool is expected to open talks with Slot for a longer-term extension.
The Dutchman’s contract with Liverpool, signed in April, reportedly earns him a basic wage of €8 million annually, roughly £6.6 million/$8.3M or £127,000/$156K per week.vThis figure could rise with any trophies won, meaning Slot would receive a significant bonus if Liverpool clinches silverware this season.
In comparison, Jurgen Klopp’s final contract at Liverpool reportedly paid him around €18 million (£14.9M/$18.7M) per year, which is nearly triple Slot’s salary. Despite this difference, Slot’s potential bonuses and success this season could increase his overall earnings.
There are a number of managers earning more than the Dutchman in the Premier League, most notably Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta. And Slot even trails the likes of Ruben Amorim and Unai Emery, who he has comfortably outperformed this season.

Arne Slot’s contract with Liverpool is just one of several agreements that need attention at Anfield. Alongside the well-publicized contract situations of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool must manage several other key players with expiring contracts.
At the end of the season, Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson, and Caoimhin Kelleher will enter the final year of their contracts, while Alisson’s deal extends to 2026 with a 12-month option. Additionally, players like Luis Diaz, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, Kostas Tsimikas, Harvey Elliott, Joe Gomez, Conor Bradley, and Wataru Endo will have two years remaining.
Liverpool also boasts longer-term contracts for Alexis Mac Allister, Darwin Nunez, Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch, and Federico Chiesa, all tied down until 2029, while Jarell Quansah, who signed a new deal in October, until 2030.
