FA Cup quarter-final draw: Bournemouth vs Manchester City, Preston vs Aston Villa

Manchester City will visit Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-finals, while Championship side Preston North End will host Aston Villa.

City, who defeated rivals Manchester United to win the competition in 2023, beat Plymouth Argyle 3-1 in the fifth round. Bournemouth, who edged past Wolverhampton Wanderers on penalties, handed City their first league defeat of the season in November.

Preston are the sole Championship representative left in the competition, having beaten Burnley 3-0 in the fifth round on Saturday to earn a visit from Villa, who defeated Cardiff City, another Championship team, 2-0 to reach this stage.

Eleswhere, Fulham will host Crystal Palace in an all-London clash at Craven Cottage. Fulham knocked out holders Manchester United on penalties after 120 minutes of action at Old Trafford ended in a 1-1 draw, while Palace beat south London rivals Millwall 3-1. Both sides are in search of their first major trophy in club history.

Brighton and Hove Albion defeated Newcastle United 2-1 on Sunday after a late Danny Welbeck winner in extra-time, though they will have to wait to find out their quarter-final opponent. Nottingham Forest take on Ipswich Town in the final fifth round match on Monday, with the winner heading to the Amex Stadium.
