Nominal striker Nicolas Jackson is not expected to return to action until early April at the earliest, and his absence may mean that someone like Pedro Neto will have to start in a central position.
However, the Londoners will also be without wind attacker Noni Madueke as a result of a hamstring injury, and he is not scheduled to make his comeback until after the March international break.
Madueke’s injury could mean that Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunku will be positioned either side of Neto, while Cole Palmer is certain to appear in attack.
