Liverpool are arguably the best team in the world right now.
The Reds are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League, and Liverpool also breezed through the Champions League group stage by topping the table.
Liverpool are in a great spot right now, and, excitingly, the future also looks bright at Anfield.
Indeed, Liverpool have a number of top young talents coming through right now.
Trey Nyoni looks like a future star, while Jayden Danns has been tipped for big things in the past too.
Speaking on the Aldo Meets Podcast, Steve McManaman has been discussing some of the young talent coming through at Anfield now, and he says that Ben Doak will be a great player, while also speaking up the talents of Rio Ngumoha.

Ben Doak will become a great player
McManaman spoke about Doak’s potential, stating that he will become a great player for Liverpool.
Meanwhile, McManaman also detailed a conversation he had with Rio Ngumoha about his ability and the hype surrounding the young man.
Ngumoha has been tipped for big things, and McManaman doesn’t want him to get carried away.
“So I don’t know whether he (Ngumoha) felt he had a point to prove. Funny enough, I saw him on Friday, as I said, and I said to him, you know, don’t let yourself get carried away because of the story, because of what happened with the transfer coming into Liverpool, and there was still a little bit of bad blood there, and his family wants them to do well. You just have to make sure he didn’t get carried away,” McManaman said.
“Playing the way he did and scoring the goal and setting one up really late on in the game, I think he’ll be very happy. As I said, we always have one, don’t we? We brought Ben Doak down and he was the little skilful dribbler, and he’s going to be a great player, and he’s doing really well at Middlesbrough.
“He’s only 16 and you can’t get carried away with him (Ngumoha). He’s got really nice traits. He’ll work hard, he’s in the right place, and let’s hope he develops exactly how everybody wants him to develop.”
Ben Doak stats this season
McManaman reckons that Doak could become a top player, and he certainly looks like he could be a star.
Indeed, the young Scot is currently out on loan at Middlesbrough in the Championship, and at the age of just 19, he’s already making waves in the second-tier.

Games | 24 |
Goals | 3 |
Assists | 7 |
Key passes per game | 1.8 |
Doak is scoring and assisting at a very solid rate for his age, and he will only improve from here.
Crystal Palace tried to sign Doak in the January transfer window, but Liverpool knocked the offer back, perhaps alluding to the fact that Doak has a pathway into the first-team at Anfield.
Of course, at the age of just 19, Doak still has a long way to go, but it’s been a bright start to what could end up being a very exciting career for this young man.
Mohamed Salah’s contract is up in the summer, so there could soon be an absence on Liverpool’s right flank, and Doak will be ready to prove himself should an opportunity come his way.
