Manchester United need wholesale changes in this summer transfer window.
Simply put, this season has been a disaster for the Red Devils, they sit 14th in the Premier League table and they’re out of both domestic cup competitions after losing to Fulham on Sunday.
Manchester United need to have a big summer, and speaking to BeIN Sports, Tim Howard has made a suggestion about one signing United should make.
Indeed, according to the American, United should go and sign Harry Kane from Bayern Munich.
United were linked with Kane before he joined Bayern Munich, and Howard reckons that Ruben Amorim’s side should be after Kane again this summer.
Manchester United should get Harry Kane
Howard spoke about United potentially going for Kane.
Kane has a £65m release clause that comes into effect at some point in the near future, and United are on alert about Kane’s situation.
“In his tactical formation wing-backs are the catalyst, and I think you need to get a seasoned European striker,’ Howard said.
“If you get Harry Kane, that is a massive step to achieving the things you want to achieve at he top end of the Premier League. Harry Kane is every bit of a world class striker.
“I think if we turn up at the first day of next season and Kane is in a United shirt they’re well on their way, yes.”
What Alex Ferguson said about Harry Kane
Kane to United has been rumoured for years, and even Alex Ferguson is a fan of Kane.
Indeed, the legendary United manager has previously commented on Kane, claiming that he’s a top player who he would have loved to have managed.
“I think Kane. I thought Dele Alli was going to be a top player, I must admit I don’t know what’s happened there”, Ferguson said.
“And the boy Son. These are excellent players.”
Of course, it’s easy to see why Ferguson is such a fan of Kane – the man is a goal machine.

With Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee seriously misfiring at Old Trafford right now, Kane could be just what the doctor ordered for United, but convincing the England captain to join a team that currently sits 14th in the Premier League won’t be easy.
