Raheem Sterling is doing something behind the scenes at Arsenal that’s ‘really good’ – journalist

Raheem Sterling isn’t having the easiest of seasons at Arsenal.

Raheem Sterling arrived at Arsenal on deadline day in the summer after being frozen out at Chelsea.

Sterling looked like a good signing at the time, but, sadly, it hasn’t quite worked out that way.

Indeed, the attacker hasn’t scored a single league goal so far this season, and Sterling has been criticised on a number of occasions.

However, Sterling’s impact at Arsenal hasn’t been entirely negative.

According to John Cross, speaking on All Out Football. Sterling has made a good impact behind the scenes at Arsenal as a leader and a role model, and people at the club acknowledge this impact.

Raheem Sterling is a good character at Arsenal

Cross shared what he’s been hearing about Sterling.

The journalist says that people at Arsenal speak about the forward in glowing terms despite his poor form, claiming that he’s been a great role model for some of the youngsters at the club.

“He’s a really good character in the squad. Really, he really is, you know, he’s a genuine kind of, you know, good leader, good sort of role model for some of these kids,” Cross said.

“And you speak to them, they’ll speak in glowing terms about him. But the problem is that basically he’s just not worth it for him. He’s a player of short confidence and belief.

“I think at times he tries too hard and he will try ridiculous things. Other times, he’ll just cut inside and do the simple square pass, and it’s wasted and, you know, the chance has gone. Nothing has come out for him.”

What does the future hold for Raheem Sterling

Sterling may be helping his teammates at Arsenal behind-the-scenes, but that isn’t enough for the winger to earn a permanent move to the Gunners.

Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal won’t be signing Sterling permanently.

“Expecting the player to deliver more for the final months of the season, then the expectation is for Sterling to return to Chelsea and not staying at Arsenal next season. That’s the clear feeling internally,” Romano said.

Sterling, quite simply hasn’t done enough to earn a permanent move to Arsenal, and he isn’t wanted at Chelsea either.

So, what does the future hold for Sterling?

Realistically, the winger will have to make another move in the summer, and he may have to drop down a level or two if he wants to stay in the Premier League.

Of course, as with many of his peers in recent years, a move to Saudi Arabia could also beckon for the high-earning England international.

Sterling’s future is up in the air, but it looks almost certain that he won’t be an Arsenal player next season.
