Everton lineup vs. Wolves: Predicted XI for Premier League clash as Doucoure, Alcaraz both start

Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure should be back at David Moyes‘s disposal for Saturday night’s Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

The 32-year-old was unavailable for last week’s 1-1 draw at Brentford due to the birth of his son, but he has since linked up with the rest of his Toffees teammates in training again.

As a result, Doucoure will seemingly be back in the ranks for the trip to the West Midlands, but Armando Broja (ankle) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (thigh) are still serious doubts, while Iliman Ndiaye (knee), Seamus Coleman (calf), Dwight McNeil (knee) and Orel Mangala (knee) are out.

Carlos Alcaraz put in a brilliant shift against Brentford in Doucoure’s absence, though, and as the former Southampton man does not deserve to lose his place, Jesper Lindstrom could make way instead.

Alcaraz would likely move out to the right in that scenario as Doucoure occupies the most advanced midfield position, while Beto and Jack Harrison can expect to reprise their roles.

Doucoure for Lindstrom might be the only alteration that Moyes makes to an in-form team, as James Garner and Idrissa Gueye ought to link arms in midfield again, while James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite form the central defensive pairing.

Fresh from scoring his first Premier League goal to steal a point at Brentford, Jake O’Brien lines up on the right-hand side of Jordan Pickford‘s backline, while Vitaliy Mykolenko holds the fort on the opposite flank.

Everton possible starting lineup:
Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Garner, Gueye; Alcaraz, Doucoure, Harrison; Beto
