Liverpool and Manchester United have reportedly learned how much it will take to sign Bayern Munich-linked Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart this summer.
The defensive midfielder has impressed with his performances since he joined Stuttgart from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2023.
Stiller made 31 Bundesliga appearances in his first season as a Bundesliga player, helping Sebastian Hoeness‘s side achieve Champions League qualification via a second-place finish.
The 23-year-old has continued to play a key role in Stuttgart’s current campaign, contributing three goals and six assists in 37 matches in all competitions.
Stiller’s current focus will be on helping Stuttgart achieve a strong finish in the Bundesliga as well as the club’s DFB-Pokal campaign, with die Schwaben competing in the semi-finals following last month’s win over Augsburg.

Liverpool, Man United learn Stiller asking price
However, there appears to be some doubt as to whether Stiller will be at the MHP Arena at the start of the 2025-26 campaign due to the significant interest in his services.
As per 90min, Liverpool and Man United are among the clubs showing an interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Premier League duo are set to face competition from German giants Bayern, who could offer Stiller the chance to continue his Bundesliga career.
According to journalist Florian Plettenburg, Stiller has a release clause in his Stuttgart contract which is active until 2026.
The update claims that the clause is worth up to €40m (£35m), but that figure can change depending on who the potential buyer is.
However, Stuttgart have the option to buy out Stiller’s release clause for €2m (£1.7m) which would be paid directly to the Germany international.

Why are Liverpool, Man United considering Stiller?
Liverpool will look to bolster their midfield options after failing to sign Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi last summer.
Ryan Gravenberch‘s emergence as a regular starter softened the blow of Zubimendi’s snub, but the Reds are still seemingly keen to recruit a new midfielder ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
As for Man United, they will also need to strengthen their engine room, especially as there could be a couple of midfield departures in the summer.
Casemiro has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, while Christian Eriksen is set to depart when his contract expires in the summer.
