Tottenham Hotspur have it all to do in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie against AZ.
Tottenham fell to a 1-0 defeat at the AFAS Stadion on Thursday evening, Lucas Bergvall’s unfortunate own goal the difference between the two sides.
In the 18th minute, a corner kick was swung in deep, and AZ forward Troy Parrott flicked it back towards goal.
Bergvall attempted to clear, but connected poorly and ended up skewing the ball into the back of his own net.
Tottenham couldn’t recover from this setback as they failed to trouble the hosts, managing just one effort on target all game.
After the game, Bergvall was spotted doing something which suggests he’s taken ownership of his error and will be eager to move on.

Lucas Bergvall holds his hands up in apology to travelling Tottenham fans
BBC Sport reported after the final whistle that, as Tottenham’s players applauded the travelling fans, Bergvall was holding his hands up.
‘The Spurs players applaud their travelling supporters and youngster Lucas Bergvall holds his hands up in apology, perhaps because of that first-half own goal,’ they wrote.
‘To be fair, he recovered well from that setback and made a couple of important blocks thereafter.’
How Bergvall fared for Tottenham against AZ
Bergvall played well for the most part against AZ, which makes his unfortunate own goal all the more cruel.

He was spot on with all but three of his passes on the night, as well as with both of his long ball deliveries, made one key pass, completed two dribbled and won five ground duels.
Bergvall also chipped in with two tackles and one block, all in all showing he’s a great talent with a bright future who will recover from this unfortunate setback.
Tottenham are next in action this Sunday when they host Bournemouth in a 2pm GMT kick-off in the Premier League.
Spurs then play the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie against AZ on Thursday 13 March (8pm kick-off) at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
