Aston Villa have given their European qualification hopes a boost thanks to their 1-0 win away at Brentford on Saturday.
Ollie Watkins once again haunted his former club as he scored against them for the sixth time in seven games since leaving the Bees in 2020.
The Aston Villa striker netted in the 49th minute, his low effort coming Nathan Collins’ right shin and going through Mark Flekken’s legs.
There were plenty of strong individual performances from Villa’s players, with Axel Disasi particularly impressive once again.
Some Villans fans had a clear message regarding the Chelsea loanee as he showed his class against Brentford.
Aston Villa urged by fans to sign Axel Disasi permanently
Disasi joined Villa on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window, with no option or obligation to buy.
As things stand, the Frenchman will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, but Villa fans want their club to go all out for him.
One fan wrote on X: “Am not a big Disasi fan but l love how good he’s been for Aston Villa. @AVFCOfficial sign him permanently.”
Another supporter said: “Sign Disasi in the summer if Chelsea don’t want silly money.”
The praise kept coming, with one fan saying: “Pay whatever he wants, give him the keys to Birmingham, GET AXEL DISASI ON A PERMANENT CONTRACT TONIGHT.”
Another wrote: “Disasi mate honestly we NEED him on a permanent deal.”
Another said: “We should defo make Disasi permanent. Superb defensive skillset but can pass the ball better than both Konsa and Mings.”
