TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Chelsea director of global recruitment Sam Jewell is on the radar of Everton.
Jewell, who joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion last year, has made a name for himself as one of the best talent spotters in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Everton are embarking on a new era as they prepare to vacate Goodison Park and move to Bramley-Moore Dock in the summer.
Everton have already got the ball rolling in terms of backroom appointments, with Angus Kinnear set to become their new chief executive on 1 June.
However, the Toffees have a number of obstacles to contend with if they are to pull off a move for Jewell.

Chelsea not intending to let Sam Jewell leave amid Everton interest
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Chelsea have no intention of allowing Jewell to leave.
Jewell is regarded as one of the best in his role in England and that has caught the attention of some huge clubs.
TBR Football can reveal that Jewell has been discussed by Everton as he has emerged as someone the Friedkin Group should look at.
We are also told that Atletico Madrid and AC Milan – both of whom are in the market for new sporting directors – have assessed Jewell as a possible option.
It is also believed Bayer Leverkusen looked at him before they went with Kim Falkenberg.
However, despite the interest we are told that Chelsea would not currently consider allowing Jewell to leave Stamford Bridge.
