Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are just a few of the clubs interested in Sporting CP superstar Viktor Gyokeres.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey previously confirmed that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United are keen on Gyokeres.
Manchester United have also been linked with Gyokeres, though it was reported in February that they are now unlikely to pursue a deal.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an exciting update about the Sweden international that will be of big interest to his many suitors.
Fabrizio Romano says Viktor Gyokeres could move for as little as £55m
Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, has claimed that Sporting could be set to sell Gyokeres for as little as £55million.
The transfer insider spoke of a “pact” between Sporting and Gyokeres that should see him move for less than his €100million (£84million) release clause.
Romano said Sporting would be open to doing business at around €65-75million (£55-63million) amid interest from “many clubs” eager to sign Gyokeres.
“The package that sporting could accept could be around €65-75million,” said Romano.
“That’s a very good price for one of the best strikers in Europe in Europe in terms of numbers.
“He’s scoring an incredible amount of goals, he’s showing his quality, he’s showing his obsession for the goal.
“Gyokeres is a fantastic striker and many clubs around Europe are closely monitoring the situation.
“I don’t want to come here and mention 10 clubs but really all the top clubs in Europe are going very strong for Gyokeres in summer.
“And they’ve been informed that this price between €65-75 million could be enough to land one of the best strikers in Europe in the summer.
“So many clubs calling, many clubs exploring the situation, many clubs ready to present their project to Victor Gyokeres – so keep an eye on this situation.”
How Gyokeres has been faring for Sporting this season
Gyokeres is showing that he ticks virtually all the boxes to be a superb No. 9 in the Premier League.
Since moving to Sporting in the summer of 2023, he has registered a staggering 80 goals and 24 assists from 89 appearances.
This season alone, Gyokeres is on 37 goals and nine assists from 39 outings, including six goals from eight Champions League appearances.
Strong, quick, and a lethal finisher with both feet, Gyokeres will surely be the talk of the summer transfer window.
