Tim Sherwood blown away by Myles Lewis-Skelly’s size

Sherwood spoke about Lewis-Skelly and his build.

At the age of just 19, Lewis-Skelly looks every bit a Premier League player, and, unlike many players of his age, he doesn’t need to build any more muscle to keep up with the demands of the Premier League.

“Their academy is brilliant, Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly, magnificent, hopefully they have a little centre-forward in the academy to save them £100m,” Sherwood said.

“Physically they are ready, some of these boys, Lewis-Skelly especially, have you seen the size of him? He’s not getting bullied by anyone. He has that personality as well to put his chest out and stand up for himself.”

What Leandro Trossard said about Myles Lewis-Skelly’s strength

Sherwood noted just how big of a physical presence Lewis-Skelly is, and this isn’t the first time we’ve heard something to this effect about the youngster.

Indeed, Leandro Trossard praised Lewis-Skelly for his strength earlier this season, claiming that the youngster is ‘so strong’.

“I think he has shown his qualities over the past few weeks to everyone. We have seen it already over the past months that he had the capability of doing that and now he is showing it on the big stage.”

“He’s such a good player, so strong as well for his age, it’s unbelievable and also down to earth and that’s also one of his biggest qualities. He is also same as Ethan [Nwaneri], a bright future ahead of him and I’m really pleased for those two.”

Lewis-Skelly is certainly an exciting prospect, and the future may also hold a position change for the teenager.

Indeed, Ian Wright reckons Lewis-Skelly will end up in midfield, despite the fact he’s been a left-back for most of this season.

Arsenal’s title dreams may be over for this season, but he future is certainly bright at the Emirates.
