Robert Lewandowski’s agent confirmed that the Barcelona striker has already made up his mind about his future. His decision, though, does not only affect him—it has significant implications for Viktor Gyokeres and Erling Haaland, two strikers the club had been closely monitoring.

Robert Lewandowski has once again found himself at the center of transfer speculation, with reports suggesting that clubs from Saudi Arabia are keen to lure him away from Barcelona. Now his agent, Pini Zahavi, confirmed that the Polish striker has already made up his mind about his future. His decision, though, does not only affect him—it has significant implications for Viktor Gyokeres and Erling Haaland, two strikers Barcelona had been closely monitoring.

Despite reports linking Lewandowski to a move to Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli, his agent has dismissed any notion of an impending transfer. “Talking about offers from the Saudi League is not true, we have not received any official offer and no Saudi club has contacted us regarding the player,” Zahavi stated, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

The Saudi Pro League had attempted to sign Lewandowski last summer, but he ultimately stayed in Catalonia. This season, with an astonishing 34 goals across all competitions, he has reaffirmed his importance to Barcelona and remains committed to the club.

Zahavi also confirmed that the 36-year-old star will continue with the Blaugrana next season, without any doubts. “Lewandowski is happy at Barcelona and will remain with the team next season 100 percent. We have a contract with the club and we respect it until its end.”

His current contract was set to run until 2026, with an automatic extension clause that has already been triggered. However, Barcelona is now considering extending his deal until 2027, with an option for a mutual exit in 2026 if necessary, as per the Spanish outlets.

What this means for Barcelona’s transfer plans

With the Polish veteran committed to staying at Barcelona, the club’s pursuit of a new striker takes a different turn. Throughout the season, names like Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon and Erling Haaland of Manchester City had been frequently mentioned as potential successors. However, as per Sport, the Catalans have decided against pursuing either player this summer.

The club had been evaluating the right time to replace Lewandowski, but Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco now believe that the team already possesses enough attacking firepower for next season. With Ferran Torres proving effective as a backup striker and Dani Olmo showing promise as a false nine, the club has opted to prioritize reinforcements in other positions.
