Relegation-threatened Leganes will be aiming to make it successive wins in La Liga when they head to Celta Vigo on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors are currently 16th in the La Liga table, three points above 18th-placed Valencia, while Celta occupy 10th, and the Sky Blues will bring a four-game unbeaten run into this weekend’s contest in Vigo.

We say: Celta Vigo 1-1 Leganes

Celta have been impressive on home soil this season, but Leganes will have gained a lot of confidence from their narrow win over Getafe last time out; we were close to backing a narrow home success, but we just have a feeling that Leganes will be able to claim a point here.

Villarreal will be bidding to make it seven games unbeaten in La Liga when they continue their 2024-25 campaign with an away fixture against Alaves on Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow Submarine are currently fifth in the La Liga table, four points behind fourth-placed Athletic Bilbao, while Alaves are 19th in the division, one point behind 17th-placed Las Palmas.

We say: Alaves 1-2 Villarreal

Alaves have avoided defeat in two of their last three matches, but they will now be coming up against an excellent Villarreal outfit; we are expecting Saturday’s game to be close in terms of the scoreline, but the Yellow Submarine should be able to navigate their way to an important three points.

Two teams inside the La Liga relegation zone will lock horns for a huge game on Saturday evening, with Valencia welcoming Real Valladolid to Mestalla.

Valencia, who drew 3-3 with Osasuna last time out, are currently 18th in the La Liga table, while Real Valladolid are rock bottom of the division, eight points from the safety of 17th spot.

We say: Valencia 2-1 Real Valladolid

Real Valladolid’s struggles on their travels are difficult to ignore when picking a result here, while Valencia’s best football has been played in front of their own supporters this term – we are expecting a close match in terms of the scoreline, but Los Che should be able to put an important three points on the board.

Barcelona‘s pursuit of the La Liga title will continue on Saturday evening, with Osasuna their opponents at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.

Blaugrana have been victorious in each of their last six fixtures in Spain’s top flight, with a total of 57 points leaving them at the top of the La Liga table, while Osasuna, who are winless since the start of February, occupy 11th position.

We say: Barcelona 3-1 Osasuna

Osasuna are a quality side, and there is enough attacking talent in their squad to cause Barcelona problems here, but it is difficult to overlook the Catalan giants, who have so many players in excellent form; in truth, we are expecting it to be a routine home success for Flick’s side, who are the team to catch in La Liga at this moment in time.
