Kimmich’s transfer ping pong rallies ahead.
Bayern Munich seem to be well on its way to extend Joshua Kimmich. However, until the official presser is released, interest around the matter is inexhaustible. The Bayern brass and the concerned players are flocked by the reporters at every opportunity to get the latest updates from the horse’s mouth. Post the sour defeat to Bochum, board member for sport Max Eberl lightened the mood with his response to the media.
Kimmich had last said that the ball was no longer in his court as far as the extension is concerned, suggesting that it was now up to the Bayern bosses to finalize the deal. When asked by Az journalist Julian Buhl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) to respond to that statement, Eberl replied: “The ball is now in the air and now we both have to catch it.”
Well played Max, well played.
