Cristian Romero has shared the defiant message which is coming from the Tottenham Hotspur dressing room after their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
Tottenham Hotspur rescued a point against the Cherries as they came from behind to salvage a draw 2-2 in North London.
Ange Postecoglou’s side produced one of their most questionable first-half performances under his tutelage, however, his quartet of substitutions just after the hour mark helped swing the game into Tottenham’s favour.
Postecoglou may have been fearing for his future in the Spurs dugout at 2-0 down, but his team showed good fight and Romero’s message after the game proves his players are still backing him.
Cristian Romero insists Tottenham teammates are still pulling in the same direction
Cristian Romero firmly insists that he and his Tottenham teammates are still pulling in the same direction following the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
Romero, who Tottenham want to make their highest-paid player, revealed his delight at being back on the pitch for the North London club as he made his first appearance since December 8.
Romero wrote on his official X account: “After a difficult period full of things that happened in between, I am back with the group and happy to be able to help the team.
The Argentine is now looking forward to Spurs’ Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar as they hope to overturn the 1-0 deficit from the first-leg.
“There is certainly a lot to correct and work on, but we are together and eager to reverse this situation. See you on Thursday, we will come back stronger than ever, all together Tottenham,” added Romero.
“Thankful to the physios at Argentina for getting me out of a bad moment and putting me back on the field where I am so happy. Thank you all for your continued support.”
Cristian Romero’s mixed return vs Bournemouth
Romero, who is linked with Real Madrid, did not have an easy start to life back in a Tottenham shirt as one of his first actions was to gift Bournemouth a one-on-one with Guglielmo Vicario.
Tottenham fans were rather critical of his display against Bournemouth and were not happy with how sloppy his passing was in the early stages.
The 26-year-old managed to complete a pass accuracy of 73 percent and he will need to be far more alert in possession moving forward.

Romero was subbed off at 2-0 down and replaced by Micky van de Ven, which made the Lilywhites look a lot more secure at the back.
