Pedro Neto has been playing as a striker for Chelsea over the last few matches with Marc Guiu and Nicolas Jackson both injured.

The Portugese international has three goal contributions in his last two appearances leading the line for the Blues and shown real promise in this role.

The West London club have now made an exciting prediction about their £54 million signing who had made a slow start to life at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea think Pedro Neto can become consistent goal threat

Chelsea believe that Pedro Neto is ready to become a player who can become a consistent goal threat for Enzo Marseca’s team, according to the Telegraph.

The Blues are confident that the Portugese attacker can ‘regularly score 15-plus goals’ and he is reaching a stage in his career where he can take his game to the next level.

Neto’s performances had been criticised in the early stages, however, over recent weeks the 25-year-old has finally started to kick on.

Chelsea beat off competition from Tottenham and Arsenal, who also wanted to sign Neto from Wolves, and he is now proving why he was in such high demand.

Marseca has also been left impressed by Neto’s recent form and has been especially pleased with how he is performing playing as a striker.

The Telegraph’s report adds that the Italian manager is ready to continue with the former Wolves man in that role and use him as back up when Jackson returns from injury.

The two-time European champions host Leicester City on Sunday afternoon and will be hoping Neto can continue his fine form playing up front.
