Thomas Müller urges Bayern Munich to put 2-3 loss to Bochum “behind us”

There is no point dwelling on the loss, given the chance for redemption is just 3 days away.

Bayern Munich’s 2-3 loss to VFL Bochum in the Bundesliga was frustrating, especially given the Bavarians were 2-0 up and cruising at one point in time. A red card and a poor reaction to going down a man changed the equation, however, and saw Bayern leave the game empty handed. The chance for redemption, however, lies in the game against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday, with Thomas Müller eager to put the match in the rear view mirror and focus on the match against Die Werkself.

“It was a football game with all facets,” Bayern’s #25 said after the match, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “Of course, we did our part to ensure that things went our way at first. We played really well at the beginning, but then we made mistakes. We missed a penalty, got a red card and conceded goals. Just because you’re down to ten men doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to concede goals. There’s something in it for all the analysts, and yet we have to put today’s game behind us. Maybe it’s easier to get over it off because nothing has changed in the table. From tomorrow morning we’ll be fully focused on Tuesday.”

After the 3-0 home victory against Leverkusen last Wednesday, Bayern will be expected to be able to wrap things up on Tuesday. Hopefully, the team can shake off the loss and resume winning ways in a few days’ time.
