Declan Rice netted a brilliant equaliser for Arsenal against Manchester United.

Arsenal fans were quick to spot what Gabriel Martinelli did after Declan Rice scored against Manchester United.

On Sunday afternoon, Arsenal‘s bid to win the Premier League took another major blow after drawing against United at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes scored a brilliant free-kick just before half-time to give the Red Devils a shock 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Arsenal pushed for a leveller, which was eventually provided by Rice in the 74th minute.

However, the Gunners failed to find the much-needed winner and had to settle for just one point.

As a result, Liverpool are now 15 points clear at the top with just 10 matches left to play.

After Rice scored, Arsenal fans were quick to point out what returning winger Martinelli did.

Gunners fans spotted the Brazilian shouting at Rice and his teammates to get back to the halfway line so the match could resume as they were looking to score the winner.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Martinelli was screaming at Rice, telling him to come back – before he started running to celebrate.”

Another tweeted: “Elite mentality from Martinelli telling Rice to stop celebrating.”

A third fan added: “Great goal from Rice to equalise but Martinelli is right. Get back and get on with the game. We can’t be celebrating draws.”

Someone else wrote: “I just love Martinelli’s mentality. F*** celebrating, get back and try win this game.”

A fifth commented: “Well done Martinelli saying let’s go for more and not celebrating too.”

Speaking on commentary, Gary Neville said: “I think Martinelli is right. Get back to the halfway line. He’s shouting at Rice ‘why are you celebrating?'”

When asked if the title race is now over after the match, Mikel Arteta said: “I don’t want to say that, but today the frustration is that we haven’t won a game.

“We know the urgency and we are obligated to win every single match if you want to have any chance of doing that. I don’t think it’s the right moment to talk about that anyway.”
