But another goalkeeper could be on the way out…
Bayern Munich reserve keeper Sven Ulreich made Vincent Kompany’s matchday squad for the Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen, but didn’t dress and was not called upon when starter Manuel Neuer went down with injury in favor of the new kid on the block, Jonas Urbig.
That, however, does not appear to mean Ulreich’s future at Bayern is under threat.
From Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, as captured by @iMiaSanMia:
Sven Ulreich is expected to stay at Bayern next season as #3 behind Neuer and Urbig. Meanwhile, Daniel Peretz will either be loaned out or sold with a buy-back clause [@Plettigoal]
If this season has shown anything, keeping three keepers around is not a bad idea — particularly now that Neuer, 38, could be becoming more prone to injury.
Instead, it is 24-year-old Daniel Peretz who could find himself supplanted by Urbig in Munich…and placed on the Alexander Nübel Development Plan of proving it at another club.
