Tottenham were the subject of boos from their own fans during the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Sunday.
Spurs found themselves 2-0 down to the Cherries, and were largely spectators on a day where Andoni Iraola, who Tottenham admire, could have seen his side score even more.
Of course, Tottenham deserve credit for coming back and salvaging a point, but the manner of the fightback – a cross from Pape Sarr which accidentally flew in, and a bizarre foul by Kepa Arrizabalaga handing Spurs a penalty – does not exactly inspire much confidence.
Now, Tottenham have to make an announcement this week which could add salt to the wounds.
Tottenham risk annoying fans ahead of season ticket renewal announcement
Spurs have until Friday to make an announcement regarding season ticket renewals, and it does not come at a great time.
Tottenham fans were already furious in March 2024 after Daniel Levy opted to increase season ticket prices by 6% – and all hell will break loose if he does likewise this time around.
Ultimately, the announcement – whenever it arrives – asking fans to shell out hundreds to keep their season ticket, at a time where Spurs sit 13th in the Premier League, is unlikely to go down well.

Furthermore, Tottenham have a crucial UEFA Europa League clash against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, where Ange Postecoglou must overturn a 1-0 deficit to progress into the last eight.
If Spurs lose that match – their only remaining chance of winning a trophy this season – the season ticket announcement will only be met with even more apathy.
Spurs fans are losing patience
The draw against Bournemouth said a lot about the mood within N17 right now.
Tottenham fans hit out at Cristian Romero for a woeful performance on his return from injury – clearly displaying how little patience the fanbase has right now – while supporters could also be seen holding banners protesting against ENIC, which has become a theme of late.
One standout message read “built a business, killed a football club” – aimed at Levy for his improvement of the club in terms of infrastructure and finances, but the lack of focus on football.
Hopefully, Postecoglou can guide Tottenham to victory over AZ Alkmaar, and lift the mood at Spurs.
