Tottenham Hotspur have had one of the worst injury crises in the Premier League this season.
Indeed, at one point, Tottenham had 11 players sidelined with injury, and their form suffered for it.
Tottenham’s players have been returning in recent weeks, but, as Ange Postecoglou once said, everytime he sees a light at the end of the tunnel, it ends up being an oncoming train.
Speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, Marcus Buckland as been discussing some of Spurs’ returning players, and he says that he has heard a rumour over the weekend that Kevin Danso has picked up a knock.
Buckland is well-connected at Spurs given his role as a broadcaster with the BBC, Sky Sports and Amazon over the years, and he’s heard murmurs that the £25m man is injured.
Kevin Danso may have picked up a knock
Buckland spoke about Tottenham’s performance vs Bournemouth and Danso.
The reporter says that he was encouraged by Spurs’ second-half showing against The Cherries, but he has heard a rumour that Danso has picked up a knock.
Danso has been praised since joining Spurs, and this is an unfortunate bump in the road if this rumour is indeed true.
“So there were some encouraging signs there. I don’t know. I’ve heard a rumour that Danso might have picked up a little bit of a knock,’ Buckland said.
We will find out more about that later in the week. But I just want to agree with you on Solanke. I thought in a half of nightmares, I actually thought he played pretty well in that first 45 minutes. Some of his touches were really good.”
Kevin Danso injury history
Danso may have picked up a knock, but, luckily, by the way Buckland speaks, this doesn’t seem to be too serious.
Danso does actually have a remarkable record during his career when it comes to injuries, rarely missing prolonged periods of action.
The centre-half did miss a spell of games for RC Lens earlier this season after a minor heart issue was identified, but, other than that, his injury record is pretty stellar.

Of course, injuries are never good news, but this knock is rather well-timed in that both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are available for Tottenham at the moment for the first time in a while.
Van de Ven and Romero should be fine to hold down the fort in the absence of the Austrian.
