Will the Germany international head back to England?
According to a report from Sport Bild journalist Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Arsenal FC could be getting serious about Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané:
Arsenal are showing concrete interest in Leroy Sané. The Premier League side are looking for reinforcements on the wings and are interested in a free transfer for Sané. Opinions at Bayern are divided regarding Sané – his biggest advocate is Max Eberl, with whom he’s in good exchange.
Altschäffl went on to note that a contract extension for Sané should not be considered a foregone conclusion:
Meanwhile, some voices at the club are against extending the contract due to the player’s inconsistency. For Eberl, it’s also a question of which wingers he can sell. If both Coman and Gnabry get sold, then Sané would have better chances of staying — but that could be too late since decisions on sales are likely to be made after the end of the season.
Certainly, this will be a situation that will be worth monitoring in the coming weeks as Bayern Munich formulates its plans for the summer transfer window.
