Still within touching distance of the Championship’s automatic promotion places, Burnley take to the Turf Moor turf once again on Tuesday night, when West Bromwich Albion will be their visitors.

The Clarets displayed their Premier League credentials in a 4-0 battering of Luton Town over the weekend, while the Baggies eked out a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Queens Park Rangers.

We say: Burnley 2-0 West Bromwich Albion

Burnley’s exemplary home sequence compared to West Brom’s horrendous streak of form on the road is chalk and cheese, and those respective records should be reflected in the final scoreline.

Mowbray’s 10 men displayed tremendous grit to prevail over the weekend, but Parker’s defensive masters should keep the Baggies at arm’s length and strike at least once as they maintain their top-two push.

Two relegation-threatened sides will face off when Cardiff City welcome Luton Town to the Cardiff City Stadium for Tuesday’s Championship fixture.

The Hatters are languishing in the relegation zone with 31 points, while the hosts are five points better off in 21st spot in the Championship table.

We say: Cardiff City 2-0 Luton Town

Cardiff have won three of their last five home outings, and with that in mind, we think they will take all three points from Tuesday’s fixture, especially as Luton have lost 14 of their last 15 away league matches.

Former Derby County boss Frank Lampard gears up for his Pride Park homecoming on Tuesday evening, as the Chelsea legend takes his Coventry City side to meet the Rams in the Championship.

The Sky Blues maintained their playoff push in a 3-2 triumph over Stoke City at the weekend, while the Rams’ lengthy winless run ended with a 2-1 success over Blackburn Rovers.

We say: Derby County 1-2 Coventry City

A rejuvenated Derby side riding on cloud nine after Saturday’s win should find some joy against a leaky Coventry backline, as Lampard’s men have now failed to keep a clean sheet in six of their last seven games.

However, one positive result does not mean that the Rams’ attacking woes have been solved overnight, and a far more ruthless Coventry outfit should overpower their hosts in the final third as Lampard makes a winning return to Pride Park.

Middlesbrough will look to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat to Swansea City when they play host to Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday.

The visitors will also be keen to return to winning ways after losing each of their last three Championship matches.

We say: Middlesbrough 2-1 Queens Park Rangers

Middlesbrough may have suffered a disappointing result in Saturday’s away clash against Swansea City, but after claiming all three points in their most recent home game against Derby, we think they will make full use of home advantage to edge out a QPR side that have lost each of their last four away matches.

Bidding to win three straight Championship matches for the first time in 2025, a rejuvenated Sunderland host Preston North End at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday evening.

The Black Cats emerged as 2-1 victors over Cardiff City in Saturday’s showdown, while Paul Heckingbottom’s crop came up short against promotion-chasing Sheffield United in a 1-0 defeat.

We say: Sunderland 1-0 Preston North End

Preston’s praiseworthy home form has not translated into consistency on the road, and Heckingbottom’s men have far less to play for in the Championship than their promotion-chasing hosts.

That is not to say that the visitors will lift their foot off the gas, but avoiding more injuries before the FA Cup quarters will be of paramount importance, and Sunderland possess more game-changing attackers capable of producing that one moment of brilliance needed for victory.

Separated by just one point in the hunt for top-six places in the Championship table, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday will meet in an important contest at Carrow Road on Tuesday.

The visitors arguably kept their slim playoff hopes alive with a dominant away win at the weekend, while their hosts climbed to 10th spot with a draw.

We say: Norwich City 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Boosted by a crucial return to winning ways at the weekend, we see Sheffield Wednesday having enough to take a share of the spoils at Carrow Road against an out-of-sorts Norwich side, albeit with a draw not benefitting either team’s top-six bid.

Both aiming to extend strong runs of form at the top end of the Championship table, Sheffield United and Bristol City will square off at Bramall Lane on Tuesday.

The hosts moved level with league leaders Leeds United with a victory at the weekend, while their visitors trail the final playoff place by just two points.

We say: Sheffield United 1-0 Bristol City

Bristol City do head to Bramall Lane in the midst of an impressive run of form, while the hosts could be impacted by a pair of harmful new injury concerns, but the Blades have shown their resilience and ability to win tight games this season and will hope to do the same at Bramall Lane.

The visitors may have lost some momentum in a disappointing home draw against 10 men on Saturday and could fall just short at Bramall Lane.
