Arsenal are safely through to the Champions League quarter-finals after playing out a 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night.
The Gunners led 7-1 from the last-16 first leg in the Netherlands, making the second leg little more than a formality for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arteta was able to experiment with his Arsenal side in a game that was little more than a dead-rubber, and it reaped rewards almost immediately.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, playing in midfield, opened the scoring after just six minutes, though Ivan Perisic equalised for PSV in the 18th minute.
Declan Rice then made it 2-1 on 37 minutes before PSV found another equaliser on 70 minutes, this time through Couhaib Driouech.
Along with Zinchenko playing on the left side of midfield, Hale End graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly was also given a chance further up the pitch later on.
Arsenal fans on social media gave their thoughts on Lewis-Skelly playing in midfield, and most liked what they saw from the 18-year-old.

Arsenal fans think Myles Lewis-Skelly could be the answer in midfield
Arsenal fans were pleased with how Lewis-Skelly did in midfield and think he could well have a future in that position.
One fan wrote on X: “Lewis-Skelly is the left 8 Arsenal have been looking for.”
Another said: “Miles Lewis-Skelly may excel in midfield.”
The praise kept coming, with one fan saying: “There have been a couple of glimpses of what Lewis-Skelly is capable of in midfield.
“It’s very useful for his career going forwards that he can make an impact in different positions.”
Another wrote: “Zinchenko and Lewis Skelly in the midfield is a revelation. We had the solution to our #8 problems but decided to convert them to LB’s.”
Another said: “We might have to let Skelly cook in midfield at one point ngl.”
How Myles Lewis-Skelly fared against PSV
Lewis-Skelly has made a name for himself as one of the best players to come through the Arsenal academy in recent years, alongside Ethan Nwaneri.
The 18-year-old gave a decent account of himself against PSV, clocking up some solid stats including a key pass, a big chance created, and a 94 percent pass accuracy.

Admittedly, Lewis-Skelly was caught napping somewhat for Perisic’s goal.
However, he made up for it with a good run into the box which led to him hitting the post, plus his great interchange with Riccardo Calafiori.
Arsenal are next in action on Sunday when they host Chelsea in a Premier League encounter at the Emirates Stadium.
