There was not a lot to complain about for Bayern Munich…
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany rarely gets too high or too low, so it was a relatively big moment for the coach to — gasp — throw some kudos (and maybe smile!) over to his squad after taking down Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 (5-0 on aggregate) in the Champions League.
“For me, the first thing is to give a big compliment to the boys who put in the performance,” Kompany said after the match (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Of course, the two wins are important for us – it doesn’t decide the season, but we have a lot of respect for Leverkusen. It wasn’t easy from the start. The difference in numbers is not everything, but they were two good games from us.”
Kompany did a pretty fantastic job in the tie, too. It looks great when it all comes together, eh?
