Ben Foster has lauded the performance of one of Mikel Arteta’s best players following his display in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
However, the Gunners will have left Old Trafford disappointed not to have come away with all three points as they now find themselves well behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
Arsenal trail the Reds by 15 points with Arne Slot’s team now well on course to claim just the second Premier League title in the club’s history.
But despite what probably was a disappointing result for the North London club, there was one player for Mikel Arteta’s team who ensured they actually left Manchester with at least a point.

Ben Foster believes that David Raya is becoming the best goalkeeper in the Premier League following his brilliant display against Manchester United.
The goalkeeper made several top saves at Old Trafford to keep Arsenal in the game, including one sensational double save in the final stages.
The former Premier League shotstopper claims Raya’s performances this season have gone ‘under the radar’ but he is now becoming the league’s best keeper.
Foster claimed on The Cycling GK Podcast: “I think he’s made three or four double saves this season, and I genuinely believe other goalies would struggle to make those double saves.”
Asked whether David Raya should be considered the best goalkeeper in the Premier League, Foster added: “Yeah, I think if he carries on the way that he’s going, he’s so under the radar, he’s so unassuming, he just goes about his business.
“He doesn’t go all singing all dancing, he just makes great saves – he’s just proper about it. I like that about him.”

Former Premier League goalkeeper David Watson added that he loved the moment between Raya and Peter Schmeichel, with the legendary United shotstopper speaking to him after the game.
The ex-Danish keeper pulled the 29-year-old aside when he was walking off the pitch at Old Trafford and the pair exchanged a few words of respect.
“I really enjoyed his bit where he was walking off, because he is under the radar, where big Peter Schmeichel grabbed him,” said Watson.
“That was really nice and it was all in a calm moment. But that was a bit of respect for a goalie who is at the top of his game.”
