As total as it gets.

That…was…domination.

Bayern Munich dispatched Bayer Leverkusen with ruthless ease in its away leg of a lopsided Champions League Round of 16 matchup pitting the current Bundesliga leaders with last season’s champions. The result was decisive.

Vincent Kompany led the Bavarians into this one with a 3-0 lead from the first leg but the first-year Bayern coach did not let up at all. Harry Kane stole the show with a breezy goal and an effortless assist for Alphonso Davies, and Jamal Musiala banked two shots off the post in a game that ended 2-0 (5-0 agg.) even though it could have easily been much worse.

Impressive! Bayern Munich dominated Bayer Leverkusen over both legs.

You could make an argument that Alonso got his tactics wrong in the first leg, minimizing Kompany’s success.

That wasn’t the case today. Bayern were excellent. Leverkusen never looked like they could get back into it.

Leverkusen…have got to get it sorted. This is a splendid result for Bayern, however, with strong performances from front to back. Here’s how Bild evaluated the performances. Rate the players yourself below:

  • It is possible to vote more than once, but please do not do that!
