Harry Kane satisfied with Bayern Munich’s dominant showing vs. Bayer Leverkusen

Bayern Munich took care of business…

Bayern Munich took down Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 in the Champions League and advanced to the next round of the competition by a score of 5-0 on aggregate.

Striker Harry Kane was moving well and on-point as he had a goal and an assist to power the Bayern Munich attack. For Kane, there was never a thought about just playing to limit damage and maintain the three-goal advantage.

“It was a very good performance from us, from the first minute. We wanted to win the game. We didn’t play for the result. We created a lot of chances and punished them in the end,” Kane remarked afterwards (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “We defended high and had a lot of intensity. That was a top performance. Beating a team like Leverkusen 5-0 in two games shows how good we are. There was a lot of discussion before the match; we showed what kind of team we are.”

Indeed, while there might have been doubts about Bayern Munich’s viability in the Champions League earlier this season, it is clear that the Bavarians are serious contenders right now.
