Liverpool were knocked out of the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
The Reds saw their 1-0 lead from the first leg cancelled out by Ousmane Dembele’s 12th-minute goal at Anfield.
Liverpool and PSG played out a total of 120 minutes of football but could not be separated, meaning the game went to penalties.
Gianluigi Donnarumma was the hero in the shootout as he kept out Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones.
Meanwhile, the visitors scored all four of their penalties to advance to the Champions League quarter-finals at Liverpool’s expense.
Liverpool fans liked what they saw from one PSG player in particular and called on FSG to make a move for him in the summer.

Liverpool fans want PSG left-back Nuno Mendes signed
Liverpool fans were impressed with Nuno Mendes‘ display on the night, the PSG left-back shining once again against Mohamed Salah.
One fan wrote on X: “My main takeaway from that first half, is Liverpool need to sign Mendes as soon as the transfer window opens.”
Another said “can we sign Nuno Mendes please”, while another wrote “LFC sign Nuno Mendes in the summer.”
The calls to sign Mendes kept coming, with one supporter saying: “LFC break the bank for Nuno Mendes, kid is a freaking WALL.”
Another wrote: “We need to sign Mendes. He was brilliant. He locked up Mo in both matches.”
And another said: “I’ve seen enough, Nuno Mendes, pack your bags and head over to Anfield. You’re the next left-back of Liverpool Football Club.”
How likely Liverpool are to sign Nuno Mendes
Mendes delivered a masterclass against Liverpool as he completely nullified the threat of Salah, one of the best players in the Premier League.
A number of French outlets gave Salah ratings of less than 5 out of 10 thanks in part to how Mendes fared against him.
Liverpool could do with a new left-back this summer as an upgrade on both Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.
Indeed, TBR Football confirmed earlier in March that Liverpool are closely following Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez.
As for Mendes, he would be very difficult to sign this summer, because he only penned a new contract last month.
The 22-year-old is now contracted to PSG until the summer of 2029, meaning the Parisians’ hand would be extremely strong in negotiations.
And after successfully pocketing one of the best players in the Premier League, his value has likely shot right up.
