Liverpool fans have been fortunate enough to watch some of the greatest attackers in the history of English football represent their club.
The Reds have played host to the likes of Fernando Torres and Sadio Mane over the years – both of whom shone at Anfield – while Mohamed Salah is the current darling of the Kop.
Liverpool have been so blessed with attacking talent, that stars such as Philippe Coutinho and Peter Crouch do not even feature in the top ten highest Premier League goalscorers in club history.
On that note, let’s take a look at the ten who do feature on the list.
Dirk Kuyt
- Appearances: 208
- Goals: 51
- Assists: 32
Dirk Kuyt is something of a cult hero at Liverpool.
Signed from Feyenoord in August 2006 in a £9m deal, the Dutchman bagged 51 goals in 208 Premier League appearances, roughly averaging a strike every four games.

Kuyt even netted a hat-trick against bitter rivals Manchester United back in March 2011, securing a 3-1 win for Liverpool.
Daniel Sturridge

- Assists: 15
Daniel Sturridge was a sensation at Liverpool – and would surely be much higher up on this list had he managed to avoid injuries at Anfield.

The Englishman netted 51 goals in 116 Premier League appearances – also providing 15 assists – striking up a devilish partnership with Suarez in the 2013/14 campaign.
Fernando Torres
- Appearances: 102
- Goals: 65
- Assists: 15
The aforementioned Torres quickly became a hero on Merseyside after arriving in a £20m move from Atletico Madrid back in July 2007.
Pressure was immediately placed on the Spaniard as he inherited the No.9 shirt from Robbie Fowler – but proceeded to do the number justice with 65 goals in just 102 Premier League appearances for Liverpool.
Torres did – however – somewhat stain his Liverpool legacy by moving to Chelsea in January 2011.
Luis Suarez

- Goals: 69
- Assists: 24
Suarez – who Kuyt loved to play alongside – will be fondly remembered as perhaps the most naturally gifted striker to ever appear for Liverpool.

The mesmeric Uruguayan netted 69 goals in 110 Premier League outings for the Reds – securing the Premier League Golden Boot award after scoring 31 goals in the 2013/14 campaign.
Roberto Firmino
- Appearances: 256
- Goals: 82
- Assists: 51
Roberto Firmino often acted as the orchestrator in a false No.9 role – pulling defenders out of position to help Salah and Mane thrive – but still managed to score 82 Premier League goals himself.
The Brazilian also registered 51 assists in his 256 Premier League appearances for Liverpool – proving he could not only create goals, but score them himself.
Firmino – who wants to rejoin Liverpool – now plays for Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
Sadio Mane

- Goals: 90
- Assists: 30
Some scoffed when Liverpool paid £34m to sign Mane from Southampton in June 2016 – but it quickly appeared to be a bargain.
The Senegal international scored a superb goal on his debut against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, and eventually left Anfield for Bayern Munich with 90 Premier League goals for Liverpool under his belt.

Mane also won the Premier League Golden Boot award – shared with Salah – after scoring 22 goals in the 2018/19 campaign.
Michael Owen
- Appearances: 216
- Goals: 118
- Assists: 35
Michael Owen emerged from the Liverpool academy in 1996 – and was so outstandingly effective in attack, he lifted the Ballon d’Or just five years later in 2001.
The Englishman eventually left Anfield for Real Madrid in 2004 with 118 goals in 216 Premier League appearances under his belt at Liverpool.
Steven Gerrard

- Assists: 97
Steven Gerrard could do it all in midfield.
Not only was the Liverpudlian a fine tackler, dominant in the air and a leader for his teammates, but he was also a reliable source of goals – scoring 121 in his 504 Premier League appearances for the Reds.
Robbie Fowler

- Goals: 128
- Assists: 29
Like Owen, Fowler also rose through the youth ranks at Anfield to become a Liverpool star.
The man born in Toxteth enjoyed two separate spells at Liverpool – netting a combined total of 128 goals in 266 appearances for the Reds – earning himself a nomination for the Ballon d’Or award in both 1996 and 1997.
Mohamed Salah
- Appearances: 279
- Goals: 182
- Assists: 85
Salah is the only player on this list to have recorded more goals and assists than games played – the Egyptian is an utterly remarkable footballer.

With 27 goals and 17 assists already in the 2024/25 campaign, you can be sure of the Liverpool No.11 increasing his astounding total of 182 Premier League goals before the season is over.
