According to the journalist, Sesko is one of Arsenal’s two key targets, and they believe he has chosen a move to the Emirates over Chelsea or Manchester United.

“Arsenal have got two lead targets. One, Benjamin Sesko, who Arsenal believe has picked their project over Chelsea or Manchester United and will be available with the release clause this summer in the region of 70 million euros, although it’s performance related, my understanding is, and it is variable, and therefore the better Sesko does, the higher the amount goes up, and it could eventually be something, even in the region of 80 million euros. Sesko is scoring at a very respectable rate for RB Leipzig this season, and the exciting thing is that he’s just 21 years old.

Of course, there is reason to believe that Arsenal should approach this deal with caution.

RB Leipzig strikers have struggled to make much of an impact in the Premier League in the past – just look at Timo Werner and Christopher Nkunku as two examples.

Nkunku and Werner scored for fun for RB Leipzig, but in England, they seriously struggled.

Meanwhile, Naby Keita was a high-profile flop at Liverpool after signing from Leipzig, so there is reason to be wary about Sesko and how he will adapt to English football.
