Will Bayern Munich add another right-back to the mix?
Bayern in the running for Dalot? (TEAMtalk)
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were listed as clubs who have shown interested in Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot:
TT can reveal that German giants Bayern Munich have joined Real Madrid in showing interest in making a summer transfer window move for Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot.
What has particularly impressed Bayern boss Vincent Kompany, along with Real, is Dalot’s consistency and adaptability – which have made him a target for top European clubs.
Indeed, Real’s interest has been noted for some time, with the LaLiga outfit considering the Portuguese, along with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong – if they fail in their efforts to sign top target Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool.
His outstanding 2023/24 season earned him the Players’ Player of the Season award at Old Trafford, clearly showing the love and respect he has from his teammates. With major clubs monitoring him, Dalot’s future remains open, although he will continue to be a key figure at United until any potential exit comes to light.
This is interesting news and not the first time that Bayern Munich has been linked to Dalot. Right now, Bayern Munich has Konrad Laimer as the starter and Josip Stanišić and Sacha Boey as backups.
Laimer, of course, is a central midfielder by trade, but seems to be the preferred option under Vincent Kompany — at least for now. Stanišić has been thought to be the future of the position, but there are rumors that Kompany might want to move him to center-back. As for Boey, he could be sold this summer per some of the latest rumors.
It still seems unlikely that a Dalot move would be on the table given some of the other potential moves on the table (and the money that will be required to make those happen), but it is not totally out of the realm of possibility.
Pogba back in the mix (@FabrizioRomano)
After serving a suspension for testing positive for a banned substance, Paul Pogba is available to play football once again. Some rumors have linked him to Inter Miami or MLS in general, but his future appears to be wide open:
Paul Pogba can officially play pro football again from today, still available as free agent.
His ban is definitely over. pic.twitter.com/udmoyBQhEH

Bavarian Podcast Works — Preview Show: Union Berlin vs. Bayern Munich (Bavarian Football Works)
Bayern Munich is riding high coming off of a massive Champions League tie victory over Bayer Leverkusen, but the Bavarians have to maintain focus if they want to avoid what looks like an obvious trap game on the schedule.
With the international break looming, Vincent Kompany will have to ensure his team keeps its eye on an underachieving, but capable Union Berlin squad. We will dive deep into that and more during the Bavarian Podcast Works — Preview Show. Here is what we have in tap:
- A look into where each team falls in the Bundesliga table and some discussion on the recent form of each side.

United eyeing Kane (ESPN)
As Manchester United continues its quest to revamp its attack (documentary titled “The Neverending Story”), Bayern Munich star Harry Kane is one of the names under consideration for the Red Devils:
Manchester United are unlikely to make an attempt to sign Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta but are firmly looking at Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, claims Football Insider. Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres is also being considered, but United part-owners INEOS want Kane and are focusing on bringing in a high-profile player as they aim to bolster coach Ruben Amorim’s squad.
It still feels unlikely that Kane moves on this summer, but he will have options. A return to Tottenham Hotspur feels like it might be in the cards for Kane, but Arsenal FC (very unlikely), Manchester United (unlikely) are among the clubs who will probably attempt to lure Kane home this summer.
GiveMeSport (via ESPN) is also reporting that Manchester United is scoping Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović as well:
United are also considering Dusan Vlahovic, with Juventus looking for around €40m for the 25-year-old striker.
Not going anywhere for a while? Yamal likely isn’t either (ESPN)
There have been very loose and very crazy rumors linking Lamine Yamal to a move away from FC Barcelona and the Catalans would like to dispute them all:
Barcelona sporting director Deco expects teenage sensation Lamine Yamal to remain at the club “for many years” and says the club have not listened to any offers toi [sic] sign the 17-year-old because the player is not on the market.
Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show: Bayer Leverkusen 0-2 Bayern Munich (Bavarian Football Works)

It was not the most exciting game, nor was it the most well played, but the Bavarians will move on to the Champions League quarterfinal to face Inter Milan. Let’s dive into this one on the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show:
Let’s talk about all of that and more on the Bavarian Podcast Work — Postgame Show. This is what we have on tap:

Bayern ahead of City on Wirtz (ESPN)
As expected (and contrary to some other reports), Bayern Munich is leading Manchester City in the pursuit of Bayern Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz:
Bayern Munich are ahead of Manchester City in their efforts to sign Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, claims TEAMtalk. Any move from City will require input from incoming director of football Hugo Viana, as the fee will be around €120m, while Bayern are already pushing for a move to happen despite Die Werkself wanting Wirtz to stay. Of course, the future of Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso will play a big role in Wirtz’s decision.
Rashford wants move to Barca (ESPN)
Marcus Rashford wants a move to FC Barcelona:
Marcus Rashford hasn’t given up on joining Barcelona despite Aston Villa holding a £40 million option to make the forward’s loan from Manchester United permanent, according to The Sun. Barça sporting director Deco has confirmed that the club held talks with the 27-year-old in January but stated that they weren’t desperately looking for a player at the time. However, Rashford hopes that impressing during his spell at Villa Park could reignite interest at Camp Nou.
