TBR Football understands the number of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, on the trail of Lille starlet Ayyoub Bouaddi has increased significantly.
TBR Football previously revealed how Arsenal had been hugely impressed with Bouaddi, however, many clubs have now joined them in following his progress.
The 17-year-old midfielder is proving to be a stand-out performer for Lille and he is emerging as one of the most highly-rated young players in France, if not Europe.
Bouaddi started in Lille’s Champions League Round of 16 defeat to Borussia Dortmund, showing just how highly rated he is by the French outfit.
Liverpool join Arsenal in the race to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi
Sources have told Graeme Bailey – chief correspondent at TBR Football that Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Brighton have all taken the chance to watch Ayyoub Bouaddi in action.
TBR Football has also been told that the Premier League clubs have been left with ‘glowing’ reports on the teenager.
But there is more than just interest from the Premier League in Bouaddi, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig having all watched him this year.
But with Lille set to lose Angel Gomes and Jonathan David this summer on free transfers, TBR Football sources believe they would be in no mood to lose Bouaddi.
The French Under-21 star does not turn 18 until October, so even if an English side came calling, he could not move to the Premier League until 2026.
Where is Ayyoub Bouaddi’s best position?
Bouaddi has shown great versatility this season for Lille having featured as an attacking midfielder, holding midfielder and central defender.
But the majority of the 17-year-old’s appearances have come as a central midfielder where he has featured on 18 occasions.
Bouaddi has appeared nine times for Lille in the Champions League this season and 20 times in Ligue 1.
