Now, sources have told TBR Football what Liverpool and Manchester City are thinking about Ola Aina amidst his stunning campaign with Nottingham Forest.
Manchester City and Liverpool have become huge admirers of Ola Aina
Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been informed that the Nottingham Forest No.34 could replace either Kyle Walker or Trent Alexander-Arnold, if the latter does leave Anfield for Real Madrid.
We understand Nottingham Forest are working hard on a new contract for Aina – with his current deal expiring this summer – although if an agreement cannot be reached between now and then, the Reds do hold an option to extend his terms by 12 months to continue discussions.
Nottingham Forest hope to persuade the 28-year-old to commit to a long-term contract.
TBR Football also understand that Aina – who Chelsea sold to Torino for £8.7m in June 2019 – is being monitored by clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
Despite that, Nottingham Forest are confident about keeping the Londoner at the City Ground.
Jeremie Frimpong also an option for Liverpool and Manchester City
Aina is not the only right-back being considered by the Citizens and the Reds.
TBR Football are also aware that Manchester City and Liverpool like Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen.
