Nottingham Forest fulcrum Morgan Gibbs-White can inch closer to a slice of club history when the Tricky Trees travel to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town in Saturday’s Premier League clash.
The 25-year-old set up Callum Hudson-Odoi‘s winner in last weekend’s fabulous 1-0 victory over Manchester City, registering his 39th direct goal involvement for Forest in the Premier League.
Gibbs-White is therefore just six combined goals and assists away from breaking the record for the most Premier League goal involvements in a Forest jersey, which is currently held by Ian Woan‘s 44.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers man is sure to take his place in an untouched attacking quartet with Chris Wood, Anthony Elanga and Hudson-Odoi, who could very well be on Thomas Tuchel‘s mind for an England call-up.
Nuno Espirito Santo – who will take charge of his 50th Premier League game for Forest this weekend – is not short of midfield options whatsoever, as Ryan Yates, Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare are all at his disposal.
However, the Nicolas Dominguez and Elliot Anderson pairing should not be broken up, and nor will the established partnership of Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic, who can expect a taxing afternoon against Liam Delap.
Neco Williams, Matz Sels and Ola Aina should complete an unchanged XI for the Garibaldi, who are only missing Carlos Miguel (hamstring) through injury.
Nottingham Forest possible starting lineup:
Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Anderson, Dominguez; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
