Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are far apart in the Premier League table.
The Reds have one hand on the Premier League trophy already, while Spurs are in 13th – 36 points behind Arne Slot’s fantastic side.
Tottenham skipper Son Heung-min isn’t having a great season himself, but the South Korean loves watching other players who are doing the business.
Among his favourite players to watch is a Liverpool star who is having a fine season under Slot.
Son Heung-min ranks Mohamed Salah second in his top-five favourite players to watch list
Mohamed Salah is arguably the best player in the world right now.
The Egypt international is having a phenomenal campaign at Liverpool, where he has directly contributed to over 50 goals already in all competitions.
Thierry Henry doesn’t think Salah is the favourite for the Ballon d’Or, but the award ceremony is still several months away, and there is every chance that the Liverpool star can do it.
Irrespective of what happens on that front, Salah is just a joy to watch when he is in top form – not just for fans but for fellow top-class players as well.
In a video on Goal, Son was asked to rank his top-five favourite players to watch in football right now.
Going from five to three, the Tottenham star went with Lamine Yamal, Jude Bellingham and his old pal Harry Kane. Ahead of the Spurs legend was Salah in second place, just behind Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe.
Watch what Son had to say below!
What Son said about Mohamed Salah after his brilliant start to this season
Salah has been absolutely unbelievable since the start of this season.
The Liverpool number 11 has scored 32 goals and provided 22 assists in all competitions so far, which is a truly phenomenal record for a wide player.
Back in November 2024, after seeing Salah’s form in the first few months of the campaign, Son paid him the biggest compliment.
When asked who the best player in the world was at the time, Son and his Tottenham teammate Ben Davies picked the Egyptian superstar.
The Korean said, as per Liverpool Echo: “I’m a big fan of him, it’s unbelievable what he does. We speak a lot about the players, there are a lot of good players, but for many years, Salah has been very very consistent.”
