Tottenham Hotspur are through to the Europa League quarter-finals after beating AZ Alkmaar 3-2 on aggregate.

Spurs lost 1-0 in the last-16 first leg last week but didn’t take long to cancel out the visitors’ advantage at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Wilson Odobert opened the scoring on 26 minutes before James Maddison put Tottenham 2-0 up on the night – and 2-1 up on aggregate – on 48 minutes.

And though Peer Koopmeiners levelled the tie on aggregate in the 63rd minute, Odobert’s second of the night on 74 minutes was enough to see Spurs through.

Tottenham fans had a lot to say about their players during and after the game, with Lucas Bergvall being the subject of a fair few comments.
