Arsenal are set to resume discussions with Leandro Trossard about a new contract.
Negotiations were held with the 30 year-old Belgian international about a new deal earlier in the season but they failed to reach a resolution.
Signed from Brighton in the January 2023 transfer window, Trossard’s existing contract runs until 2026.
There has been speculation linking him to the Saudi Pro League, and there have been suggestions that the player himself is open to the idea of a move to the Middle East. However, despite his indifferent form this season = he has managed just 6 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions – he remains a valued member of Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Given his age, Trossard knows that this will likely be the last big contract of his career, so he now has a major decision to make about his future.
