Manchester United showcased an impressive show against Real Sociedad in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16. Their latest win must have given them a lot of confidence ahead of their fixture against Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend.

The Red Devils are in the second half on the domestic points table. The chances of securing a European competition berth are negligible. It means that they will play for pride and can even start planning for the next season.

Defence

Andre Onana needs to work on his goal kicks but he is expected to start between the sticks once again.

Ayden Heaven has been impressive and should retain his spot in the three-man backline amid the injury of Leny Yoro. While Matthijs de Ligt continues in the defensive line, Victor Lindelof could get a chance as Harry Maguire is also doubtful for this game.

Midfield

Noussair Mazraoui is providing his services as the right wing-back with Diogo Dalot taking care of the other side of the pitch.

Skipper Bruno Fernandes is to be deployed again in the middle of the park. But Casemiro could be on the bench as he seemed tired in the previous game. Manuel Ugarte might replace him as he has recovered from his injury.

Attack

Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee are expected to operate in the attacking areas and provide a bridge for the midfield. Though Rasmus Hojlund didn’t have a good game against Real Sociedad, he could be leading the offensive pack once again.

Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Amad Diallo, Jonny Evans and Lisandro Martinez are all injured. On the other hand, Patrick Dorgu is suspended for this game.
