Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign winger Geovany Quenda from Portuguese club Sporting.
It is expected that the 17 year old will sign a seven year deal at Stamford Bridge in a move which could be worth up to ₤40,000 including add-ons and performance bonuses.
Quenda will not join the club until 2026 when he will have passed his 18th birthday.
Widely regarded as the next wonderkid to emerge from Portuguese football, has scored twice and provided eight assists since breaking through into the first-team at Sporting.
There had been suggestions that he could join Manchester United to play once more under Rúben Amórim, but instead he has opted to spend the next years of his career in West London.
He joins the latest in a long line of wingers on Chelsea’s books.
