Liverpool are on course to win the Premier League title this season, but the Reds can’t rest on their laurels.
Indeed, Liverpool need to head into the summer transfer window with intent, and, by all accounts, the Merseyside club should have money to spned.
Liverpool bid for Moises Caicedo two years ago, and that money still hasn’t been fully spent, while the Reds also didn’t spend the money they set aside as they planned to sign Martin Zubimendi last summer too.
Jamie Carragher wants Liverpool to sign a new left-back, and Milos Kerkez is on Liverpool’s radar.
Writing in a Q and A session for The Athletic, David Ornstein has addressed the links between Kerkez and Liverpool, and he says that this is a move that definitely stands a chance of happening.

Milos Kerkez to Liverpool could happen
Ornstein shared what he knows about Kerkez’s links to Liverpool.
The journalist says that the £15m man is among Liverpool’s targets, and that this move definitely stands a chance of happening in the summer transfer window.
“They will have a shortlist or potential targets, obviously. The likes of Nuno Mendes and Alphonso Davies were highly thought of at Anfield but both have now signed new contracts,” Ornstein wrote.
“Kerkez was and remains a strong option, who Bournemouth will be open to doing business for if their financial expectations are met. This one definitely stands a chance but the price is likely to be above what Liverpool would normally pay for a full-back – plus I’m sure like they will have other options, he will have multiple suitors – so we’ll have to see how it develops. Don’t forget they already have two top level left-backs in Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas so you imagine one of them will need to go if another senior player is to arrive in that position.”
Who else could Liverpool sign this summer?
Kerkez would be a great addition to this Liverpool squad. After all, Kerkez has received a lot of praise this season.
However, this summer may be a seriously transformative summer for Liverpool as they brace themselves to potentially lose three key players – Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
Liverpool will need some more signings through the door, and, luckily, they have been linked with some top players.
Alexander Isak has been linked to Liverpool recently, while Bryan Mbeumo is a Liverpool target too.
By the sounds of things, Liverpool are looking domestically as they’ve been linked to Isak, Kerkez and Mbeumo, and, that’s not a bad idea. After all, some of Liverpool’s greatest signings in recent times have come from wthin the Premier League – Alexis Mac Allister, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane are just a few examples.
Regardless of who comes in, this could be an exciting summer transfer window for Liverpool.
