‘It’s crazy’: Paul Merson makes scoreline prediction for Fulham v Tottenham clash tomorrow

4 Min Read

Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to go into the March international break on a winning note when they clash in Sunday’s Premier League encounter at Craven Cottage.

Fulham will be keen to bounce back in the Premier League after losing their last game, falling to a 2-1 loss at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Marco Silva’s charges are currently 10th in the table, just five points off the top five, so a European finish is still within bounds.

Tottenham will also look to get back on track in the Premier League, having picked up just one point from their last two games and sitting in 13th spot.

However, Spurs will be high in confidence, having delivered a superb display to get past AZ Alkmaar and reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League in midweek.

Paul Merson has now predicted how Fulham and Tottenham will fare when they face off in their 1:30pm kick-off at Craven Cottage.

Paul Merson backs Fulham to win 2-0 against Tottenham

Merson admits he’s worrying for Tottenham at present after they were “battered” by Bournemouth, even though Spurs did manage to pick up a point.

The pundit reckons Fulham will pick up a “comfortable” 2-0 win over Tottenham and he feels the West Londoners will be able to qualify for Europe.

“I worry for Spurs because they were lucky to get something out of that Bournemouth game,” Merson wrote on Sportskeeda. “Ange Postecoglou’s men were battered in that one.

“I’m actually backing Fulham to secure a comfortable win.

“It’s crazy how none of us gave them a chance to finish in Europe at the start of the season. Now I think they can secure a European berth after they get the three points here!”
