Soccer commentator Peter Drury apologized live on air prior to kick-off in the Carabao Cup final after microphones picked up Virgil van Dijk’s sweary pre-game comments.
The cameras zoomed in on Liverpool’s huddle and Van Dijk could be heard saying: “We worked so hard to be here. Let’s f—— do it again. Come on!”
Moments later, Drury said: “I must start the afternoon with an apology if you picked up any bad language amongst the players in the pumped-up moments towards kickoff.”
