VfL Bochum‘s push for survival in the Bundesliga continues on Sunday at Vonovia Ruhrstadion when they host Champions League hopefuls Eintracht Frankfurt.

The home team miraculously defeated Bayern Munich 3-2 last Saturday, and the result means they come into the weekend in the league’s 16th-placed relegation playoff spot with 20 points, while the visitors are fourth with 42 points and lost 2-1 against Union Berlin on March 9.

We say: VfL Bochum 1-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

Bochum have found goals easier to come by of late, and they will be confident of opening the scoring against the visitors.

Eintracht Frankfurt may come into the clash with less energy given their European exploits, and it would not be surprising if they dropped points once again.

In a clash between the Bundesliga‘s bottom two, Heidenheim will host Holstein Kiel at Voith-Arena on Sunday.

Heidenheim are last in 18th place with 16 points following their 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim on March 9, whereas 17th-placed Holstein Kiel held Stuttgart to a 2-2 stalemate on March 8 and have 17 points.

We say: Heidenheim 1-1 Holstein Kiel

Neither side can afford to lose at this stage of the season, but it is difficult to separate the two clubs.

Heidenheim have frequently lost in the past months, while Holstein Kiel’s record on the road is poor, so perhaps fans will witness the teams play out a tense stalemate.

Champions Bayer Leverkusen have no option but to win on Sunday when they travel to MHPArena to play Stuttgart in their 26th Bundesliga game of the season.

Eighth-placed Stuttgart have hopes of qualifying for the Champions League given their tally of 37 points is five fewer than fourth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt, while Leverkusen are second with 53 points and trail Bayern Munich by eight points following their 2-0 loss against Werder Bremen on March 8.

We say: Stuttgart 1-2 Bayer Leverkusen

Stuttgart’s record at MHPArena has been poor, and though Leverkusen have experienced difficulty in recent weeks, they should be seen as favourites.

However, the visitors could struggle to create in the final third considering their poor form in front goal, and they may only win by a one-goal margin.
